Brown
Shelled Snail
In the middle of a down pour, in the field there is
a snail named Sipo take shelter behind his shells. While wait for the rain to
stop, he always complained, that he want to immediately make friend.
Rain had stoped. Sipo decided to go for a walk. He
crawled up to branches at the edge of small pond. From that place, he saw his
reflection in the water surface.
“Why my shell was very ugly??? The colour was only
brown.” he complained disappointed. “I want to be like the snail in the other
side of pond. Their shells are colourful beautifully!!.”
Sipo saw on the other side of the pond, there he saw
a group of snails with brightly coloured shells. They are having fun lunch
“Nobody want to talk to me, I’m ugly and worn once”.
But...Suddenly a bad thing happened, Sipo heard a
cry for help, he turned and saw a baby snails splashed, because he tried to
reach the leaves that float in the pond.
Sipo immediately ran into the edge of the branch, so
the branch went downwards into the
surface of the pond. Then Sipo immediately reach the baby snail and said “Went
up to my back. I will rescue you!!!”
The baby snail, immediately crawled to Sipo’s large
shell. Then Sipo got down from the branch.
Finally they Arrived in the land...
There Sipo ask “what was your name young snail???”
“i,...I am Pipo” he answered
“Well then, now tell me where your house Pipo??? I
will escort you to your home” Sipo said.
“Oh. My home far across the pond,” Pipo answered. “My
mom told me that I must not go too far,
but I saw a butterfly and followed it until here.
“Okay, then went into top of my shell” Sipo said.
Pipo sit down on Sipo’s shell safely. Sipo deliver
Pipo to go across the pond, to the colourful flower beds. Pipo’s mom saw them
with anxious face. But she was very excited when she saw Pipo’s fine.
Sipo explain what happened. Then Pipo’s Mom invited
Sipo to their homes. “I have some fresh leaves. Stay a while and drink a tea
with us” Ask Pipo’s mom.
“Yes please.” Sipo answered politely.
After they finished drank tea. Pipo want to ride
into Sipo’s shell again. Glady, Sipo take him around.
“Come here again!!!” says Pipo’s Mom, when Sipo will
back to his home.
Sipo back to his home happily. He was not sad anymore.
“I don’t care if my shell brown and ugly” burble him.
“Now, I can played with Pipo and drank a tea with Kind-hearted Pipo’s mother.

Siput Bercangkang Coklat
Di tengah hujan yang lebat, di
sebuah ladang, seekor siput yang bernama Sipo berlindung dibalik cangkangnya.
Sambil menunggu hujan reda, ia selalu mengeluh, bahwa ia ingin segera
mendapatkan teman.
Hujan sudah berhenti. Sipo
memutuskan untuk berjalan jalan. Ia
merayap naik ke atas dahan tanaman di tepi kolam kecil, dari atas tempat
itu, ia melihat bayangannya di permukaan
air.
“Kenapa cangkangku jelek sekali???
Warnanya hanya coklat” Keluhnya sedih. “Aku ingin seperti siput-siput di
seberang kolam. Cangkang mereka berwarna-warni indah”
Sipo melihat keseberang kolam, tampak
sekelompok siput Dengan cangkang berwarna-warni cerah. Mereka sedang asyik
makan siang. “Tak ada yang mau bicara dengan ku. Aku jelek dan lusuh sekali”
Tapi...Tiba-tiba sesuatu yang buruk
terjadi. Sipo mendengar teriakan minta tolong. Ia berbalik dan melihat bayi
siput tercebur kedalam air, karena ia mencoba meraih daun yang mengapung di
kolam.
Sipo buru-buru meluncur ke ujung
dahan, sehingga dahan menjulur turun ke permukaan air kolam. Lalu Sipo segera
meraih bayi siput dan berkata “Naiklah ke punggungku. Aku akan menyelamatkanmu”
Bayi siput segera merayap naik ke
cangkang Sipo yang besar. Sipo lalu turun dari dahan.
Setiba di tanah...
Sipo bertanya “Siapakah namamu Siput
kecil???”
“A,...aku Pipo” Jawabnya.
“Lalu, sekarang katakana dimana
rumahmu Pipo??? aku akan mengantarmu pulang kerumah mu” kata Sipo.
“Oh, rumahku jauh di seberang
kolam,” Jawab Pipo. “Mama sudah bilang padaku, bahwa aku tidak boleh pergi
terlalu jauh, tapi tadi aku melihat kupu-kupu dan mengikutinya sampai kesini”
“Baiklah, kalau begitu naiklah
kecangkangku” kata Sipo.
Pipo duduk di cangkang Sipo dengan
aman. Sipo mengantar Pipo ke seberang kolam, kerumpun bunga warna-warni. Mama
Pipo melihat mereka dengan wajah cemas. Tapi ia sangat gembira ketika melihat
pipo baik-baik saja.
Sipo menjelaskan apa yang terjadi.
Mama Pipo mengundang Sipo kerumah mereka. “Aku punya beberapa lembar daun
segar, tinggallah sebentar dan minum teh bersama kami” Ajak Mama Pipo.
“Ya silahkan” Jawab Sipo dengan
sopan.
Setelah mereka selesai minum teh,
Pipo merengek ingin naik kecangkang Sipo lagi, dengan senang hati Sipo
mengajaknya berkeliling.
“Datanglah kemari lagi” kata mama
Pipo saat Sipo akan pulang.
Sipo pulang kerumah dengan gembira.
Ia tidak lagi sedih.
“Aku tidak peduli walau cangkangku
coklat dan jelek” Gumannya. “Sekarang, aku bisa bermain dengan Pipo dan minum
teh dengan Mama Pipo yang baik hati”
